January 10: $100 Deposit Due May 9: Final Balance Due (Each Student Will Receive Final Balance After Last Youth Luncheon) Fundraising Opportunities
We at FBC Wildwood understand the cost of multiple trips and on some occasions multiple students can be difficult for a student to participate. In the structure of our yearly calendar we have provided Youth Luncheons each month for students to work at and reap the benefits from. We will also have one other event that we call Dinner Theater for students to perform and act at in a effort to earn more to apply towards their final balance. All proceeds from Youth Luncheons and Dinner Theater are divided equally among the students who work the events. All proceeds for this years Youth Luncheons and Dinner Theater will be applied towards Crossings Camp and Ark Experience. By clicking the link bellow you can print a schedule of all of the Youth Luncheons and Dinner Theater. For Youth Luncheon Dates & Dinner Theater Dates Click The Link Below youth_luncheons_17-18.pdf |
Crossings Theme
This summer at Crossings, we are going to dive into the Psalms and discover that we are wired for worship. In everything that we do, we are to worship God in our work, in our relationships, in our thinking, and in every area of our life. In a hyper-connected world, we all need to disconnect from our various distractions, idols, and sins so that we can reconnect to our Creator and Redeemer. What's Wilderness Week?
Wilderness Week is designed for students looking to unplug from the every day distractions, get alone with God in His beautiful creation. As a group we will spend each morning with a short hike into the Smoky Mountains to spend a few hours alone in God's word, praying, and worshiping. Each afternoon we will do a group activity from white water rafting, floating down the river, mountain biking, or enjoying a game of volleyball. Every evening we will gather to study how God used the wilderness on many different occasions to spend time with His people. Wafloy is a Christian Retreat Center tucked in the Smoky Mountains near Gatlinburg ,TN. One afternoon we will explore the city of Gatlinburg and have dinner together as a group in the city. |

TBD: Trip Balance Due Weekend Activities
Thursday: Serve Day Friday: Serve Day Saturday: Lake Day at Lake Weir (Carney Island) |
What's The Weekend?
The Weekend will be a challenging and fruitful weekend together as a student ministry. We will spend time each day doing a group service project and then end the weekend at the lake. To help with the cost of the weekend we will be staying in host homes for lodging purposes for our students and using the church to facilitate meals. Each afternoon we will spend time in worship, group time, and hang out time in the CMC (Community Ministry Center). Saturday will be a family lake day and the whole family is invited to participate as we cook out and spend time together. As a student ministry we know with local events it's easy for students to come and go but we do ask that you treat this event as if it's away and do everything possible to allow your student to be apart of the weekend the whole time as sermons, groups, and activities will build off of one another. We look forward to a great weekend to end the summer! |
