What is Celebrate Recovery?

Fourteen years ago, Saddleback Church launched Celebrate Recovery with 43 people. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Celebrate Recovery has helped more than 7,500 people at Saddleback, attracting over 70% of its members from outside the church. Eighty-five percent of the people who go through the program stay with the church and nearly half serve as church volunteers.

Our churches and communities are filled with people who are struggling with pain, shame, and addictions.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY!

♦   There is no embarrassment with having weaknesses, hurts, habits, or hang-ups.  We are born in sin and therefore susceptible to all types of mismanagement and struggles in our lives. Christians also have these same issues. Imagine that. We are not made perfect through salvation. We are cleansed and forgiven of sin, yes, but there is no instant perfection that comes with the salvation. We must grow in Christ. We must allow Him to guide us and direct our lives. He has the power and grace to help us manage our lives and to develop a stronger fellowship with Him.
God is waiting to meet you here at Celebrate Recovery!

♦  You are warmly welcomed to our meetings.
    When:  Tuesdays @ 7:00 p.m. and
                Saturdays @ 9:00 a.m.
in Room C-106, First Baptist Church
                                402 Oxford Street, Wildwood, FL

♦  Meetings include relevant Bible studies.

♦  Come learn about the REAL Higher Power through the Word of God!

♦  This is NOT you typical "AA" meeting, but rather a sharing of our thoughts and
actions to better arm ourselves against temptation.

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.  That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight
in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.
For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
